One Pan Honey Garlic Chicken Broccoli Rice is easy and flavorful.

Ingredients
  

Marinade:

  • lbs chicken breasts cubed
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

One Pan:

  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large head broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 cup uncooked basmati rice
  • cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian herb blend

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2 –3 tbsp honey

Optional Toppings:

  • Diced scallions
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Marinate the Chicken

  • Combine chicken with sesame oil, soy sauce, Sriracha, and garlic powder. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 3–4 minutes. Flip and cook another 3 minutes until lightly browned.

Build the Base

  • Push chicken to the sides and add onion in the center. Cook for 2 minutes, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Add Rice and Broccoli

  • Add broccoli, rice, and chicken broth. Stir everything together and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer
  • Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 20 minutes until rice is tender. Add more liquid if needed.

Make the Sauce

  • Whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, Sriracha, garlic, ginger, and honey.

Finish the Dish

  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked chicken and rice. Toss gently to combine. This One Pan Honey Garlic Chicken Broccoli Rice is ready to serve.

Garnish and Serve

  • Top with scallions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute rice with quinoa for variation
