Ingredients
2
green or yellow bananas
not ripe
2
teaspoons
avocado oil or olive oil
¼
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Slice the Bananas
Peel the bananas and slice them into even ¼-inch rounds.
Transfer the slices to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3: Season the Bananas
In a small bowl, whisk together the avocado oil and ground cinnamon.
Pour the mixture over the banana slices and gently toss until every slice is lightly coated.
Step 4: Air Fry
Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry the Air Fryer Banana Chips for 25–28 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through cooking.
The chips should become lightly golden with crisp edges.
Step 5: Cool and Crisp
Remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool for 5–10 minutes.
They will continue to crisp as they cool.
Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
Green bananas create crunchier chips.
Yellow bananas produce a slightly sweeter snack with a softer center.
Try adding pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg for extra flavor.
Store only after the chips have completely cooled.
