Ingredients
  

  • cups all-purpose flour 270 g
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar 50 g
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk 480 ml
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted (113 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your waffle iron. For a crispier result, use a higher heat or darker setting.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Grease the hot waffle iron with butter or cooking spray.
  • Add about ⅓ cup of batter to the waffle iron (adjust depending on waffle maker size).
  • Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  • Transfer cooked waffles to a wire rack to keep them crisp. Serve hot with your favorite toppings

Notes

Serve this waffle recipe with maple syrup, butter, fresh berries, whipped cream, or honey. You can also add chocolate chips or blueberries directly to the batter for variety.
