Ingredients

  • 1 container 1 lb/500 g cottage cheese (low-fat or regular)
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • Granola for topping
  • Mixed nuts as desired
  • Chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • Fresh sliced strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Banana slices
  • Plain or Greek yogurt for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and hull the strawberries.
  • Add the cottage cheese, strawberries, almond butter, and maple syrup to a high-speed blender.
  • Blend for 1–2 minutes until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and add more maple syrup if a sweeter smoothie bowl is desired.
  • Divide the mixture evenly between 2 to 4 serving bowls.
  • Top each Strawberry Cottage Cheese Smoothie Bowl with your favorite garnishes such as granola, sliced fruit, nuts, seeds, or a dollop of Greek yogurt.
  • Serve immediately for the freshest flavor and creamiest texture.

Notes

  • Frozen strawberries create a thicker, ice cream-like consistency.
  • Honey can be substituted for maple syrup if preferred.
  • Top with coconut flakes, cacao nibs, pumpkin seeds, or sliced almonds for extra texture.
  • This recipe is naturally rich in protein thanks to the cottage cheese.
