Soaked Honey Almond Cake

Soaked Honey Almond Cake is a soft dessert infused with honey syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 large eggs whisked
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and line an 8-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla and almond extract, then slowly mix in the whisked eggs.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until almost combined.
  • Fold in almond flour gently until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  • Bake for 28–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Meanwhile, heat honey and water in a saucepan until combined to make syrup.
  • Once the cake is baked, slowly pour the honey syrup over the warm cake.
  • Let the cake soak and cool before serving your Soaked Honey Almond Cake.

Notes

  • You can substitute almond extract with more vanilla if preferred.
