Slow Cooker Taco Shredded Chicken

A simple slow cooker taco shredded chicken recipe made with low sodium ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 2 packages low-sodium taco seasoning
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth or water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • Salt & pepper to taste salt-free option recommended

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  • Pour the chicken broth over the top.
  • Add garlic powder and any additional spices you prefer.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 3–4 hours or LOW for 6–8 hours.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix with the juices.
  • Serve your Slow Cooker Taco Shredded Chicken in tacos or your favorite dishes.
