Salmon Marinade

Salmon Marinade is a simple mixture of olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and honey.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds salmon fillet whole fillet or 6-ounce portions
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • cup soy sauce regular or reduced sodium
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mild honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the marinade.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Add minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon zest.
  • Taste the marinade and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
  • Prepare the salmon.
  • Place the salmon fillet or portions in a shallow dish or resealable bag.
  • Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it coats the fish evenly.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the flavors to absorb.
  • Remove the salmon from the marinade before cooking.
  • Cook the salmon using your preferred method: grilling, baking, or pan-searing.
  • Discard the used marinade and serve the cooked salmon with fresh herbs and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Reduce soy sauce slightly if you prefer a milder salt level.
