Red Velvet Marble Waffles

Red velvet marble waffles swirled with classic waffle batter.

Ingredients
  

  • In one bowl whisk together the dry ingredients for the classic waffle batter. In a separate bowl, whisk the wet ingredients. Combine until just mixed and set aside.
  • Prepare the red velvet batter by whisking together the dry ingredients including cocoa powder, in one bowl and the wet ingredients with red food coloring in another. Combine until smooth.
  • Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Pour alternating spoonfuls of the classic batter and red velvet batter onto the waffle iron. Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl the batters together to create a marble pattern.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes or until the waffles are golden and fully cooked.
  • To make the glaze beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Serve the red velvet marble waffles hot with cream cheese glaze and fresh berries if desired.
