Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls

Soft Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls filled with cinnamon sugar and topped with white chocolate glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • Extra flour for kneading
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 stick butter softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, sift together flour and red velvet cake mix.
  • In another bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
  • Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and mix using a dough hook until combined.
  • Transfer dough to a floured surface, knead well, and shape into a ball.
  • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and knead again briefly.
  • Roll out into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  • Mix butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth, then spread evenly over the dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly lengthwise and cut into 1-inch slices.
  • Arrange in a greased baking pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes.
  • Microwave white chocolate chips and cream for 90 seconds, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour glaze over warm rolls and serve.
  • These Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls are soft, rich, and irresistibly delicious.

Notes

  • Substitute white chocolate with cream cheese glaze if preferred
