Quick Avocado Chocolate Mousse

A quick and healthy avocado chocolate mousse made with cocoa, banana, and maple syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe avocados halved, stoned, and peeled
  • 2 ripe bananas peeled
  • 80 g cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • Zest of 1 unwaxed orange
  • 120 ml maple syrup
  • 10 Medjool dates finely chopped
  • 100 ml milk or almond milk

To finish:

  • 40 g dark chocolate 70% cocoa solids, dairy-free
  • 50 g pecans toasted and chopped
  • 50 g macadamia nuts toasted and chopped

Instructions
 

  • Scoop the avocado flesh into a food processor.
  • Add the bananas, breaking them into chunks for easier blending.
  • Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, orange extract, orange zest, maple syrup, chopped dates, and milk.
  • Blend until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  • Spoon the Quick Avocado Chocolate Mousse evenly into serving glasses or bowls.
  • Grate dark chocolate over each serving.
  • Sprinkle with toasted pecans and macadamia nuts before serving.

Notes

This mousse pairs beautifully with fresh berries, shredded coconut, or a drizzle of almond butter. You can also serve it layered with granola for a dessert parfait.
