Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes Recipe

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes combine ground beef, sautéed vegetables, and melted provolone cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g lean ground beef
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper diced
  • 230 g brown mushrooms minced
  • 30 g ketchup
  • 240 ml beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 225 g provolone cheese chopped or shredded
  • 6 brioche hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms until softened and lightly browned.
  • In a bowl, mix beef broth, cornstarch, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan with the vegetables and simmer until thickened.
  • Return the beef to the pan and stir well to combine.
  • Turn off the heat and add provolone cheese, stirring until fully melted and creamy.
  • Butter and toast the brioche buns until golden.
  • Spoon the Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes mixture into the buns and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with fries, salad, or roasted vegetables.
  • You can make the filling ahead and reheat before serving.
