Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

Crispy Oven Fried Feta Rolls with creamy filling and chili honey drizzle.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 16 –20 sheets frozen phyllo dough thawed
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil plus more for brushing
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 –2 teaspoons chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix feta cheese, chopped dill, and grated garlic.
  • Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and fold it in half crosswise.
  • Brush edges lightly with olive oil.
  • Add about 1 tablespoon of feta filling at one end.
  • Roll tightly, folding in the sides like a burrito, and place seam-side down.
  • Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets and filling.
  • Brush tops with olive oil.
  • Bake Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey for 20 minutes until golden and crisp.

Chili Honey Sauce:

  • In a small skillet, melt butter with olive oil, chili flakes, and cumin seeds over medium heat for 1–2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in honey.
  • Serve warm rolls with chili honey drizzled or on the side.

  • Add chopped spinach for extra filling
