Marry Me Chicken Pasta combines juicy chicken, penne pasta, Parmesan cream sauce, and sun-dried tomatoes.

Ingredients
  

Chicken Pasta

  • pounds boneless skinless chicken cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 10 ounces penne pasta
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes drained
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning

Garnish

  • Fresh basil chopped
  • Additional Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Continue cooking until the chicken is golden and fully cooked.
  • Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.

Make the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in the chicken broth.
  • Add the heavy cream and continue whisking until smooth.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.

  • Add the sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Stir in the paprika and Italian seasoning.
  • Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Combine Everything

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
  • Add the cooked penne pasta.
  • Toss until everything is evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Simmer for 1–2 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.

Serve

  • Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your Marry Me Chicken Pasta.

Notes

  • Substitute rigatoni, rotini, or fettuccine if preferred.
  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
