Keto Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe

Crispy keto air fryer shrimp coated in seasoned almond flour and served with homemade sugar-free sweet chili sauce.

Ingredients
  

Shrimp

  • lbs uncooked shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1⅓ cups almond flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • Cooking spray

Sugar-Free Sweet Chili Sauce

  • teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • tablespoons coconut aminos
  • ½ cup powdered sweetener Swerve or monk fruit
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum

Instructions
 

Prepare the Shrimp

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, sea salt, and black pepper.
  • Beat the egg in a separate small bowl.
  • Dip each shrimp into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly with the almond flour mixture.
  • Arrange coated shrimp on a plate while preparing the remaining shrimp.

Air Fry

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the shrimp in a single layer without overlapping. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Spray the tops of the shrimp lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook the Keto Air Fryer Shrimp Recipe at 380°F for 9–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Spray lightly again after flipping for extra crispiness.

Make the Sweet Chili Sauce

  • Add vinegar, water, coconut aminos, powdered sweetener, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and salt to a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Whisk in xanthan gum until smooth and slightly thickened.
  • Cool before serving or store in a sealed jar.
  • Serve the crispy shrimp immediately with the warm sweet chili sauce.

Notes

  • Serve with cauliflower rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lemon before serving.
  • For extra crunch, use finely ground almond flour.
  • The sweet chili sauce also pairs well with grilled chicken or vegetables.
