Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

For the Sauce & Walnuts

  • 1 cup walnut halves
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Pat the shrimp completely dry using paper towels. This helps create the crispiest coating.
  • In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until slightly frothy.
  • Dip the shrimp into the egg whites, then coat evenly with cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate.
  • Toast the walnut halves in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  • In the same pan, combine honey, water, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt.
  • Simmer the sauce for 3–4 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
  • Add the crispy shrimp and toasted walnuts to the pan.
  • Toss gently until everything is evenly coated in the honey sauce.
  • Serve the Honey Walnut Shrimp immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

You can substitute shrimp with crispy chicken pieces for a different variation.
