Ingredients

For the Sliders

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts
  • 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
  • Mayonnaise to taste
  • Honey mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 8 strips turkey bacon cooked
  • 12 slices Colby Jack cheese
  • 1/2 head lettuce
  • 1/2 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 Roma tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons oil

For the Chicken Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons paprika smoked or regular
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Butter Glaze (Optional)

  • 1/2 stick softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

Prepare the honey mustard sauce

  • In a small bowl, combine honey mustard and honey. Mix well and set aside.

Season the chicken

  • Coat the chicken with oil. In another bowl, mix paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning evenly over the chicken.

Grill the chicken

  • Place the chicken on a preheated grill and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and nicely browned.

Prepare the slider buns

  • Slice the dinner rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Broil for 2–3 minutes until lightly toasted.

Assemble the sliders

  • Spread mayonnaise on both halves of the buns. Place grilled chicken on the bottom bun, followed by Colby Jack cheese, turkey bacon, sliced tomato, red onion, and lettuce.
  • Add the honey mustard
  • Spoon a small amount of the honey mustard sauce over the toppings.

Finish the sliders

  • Place the top bun over each slider.
  • Optional butter glaze
  • Mix softened butter with garlic and parsley. Brush lightly over the tops of the buns before serving.
  • These Honey Mustard BLT Chicken Sliders are best served warm while the cheese is slightly melted and the buns are toasted.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for juicier sliders.
