Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced watermelon
  • 2 bananas cut into thick chunks
  • 1 cup strawberries stems removed
  • 2 kiwis peeled and cut into 4–6 pieces each
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 mango peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Juice of 2 fresh limes
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  • Prepare the Fruit
  • Wash and prepare all the fruit. Cut everything into large, evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same rate.
  • Assemble the Skewers
  • Thread the watermelon, bananas, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, and mango onto soaked wooden skewers, alternating the fruits for a colorful presentation.
  • Season
  • Lightly sprinkle the fruit skewers with ground cinnamon.
  • Grill the Fruit
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Place the Honey Lime Grilled Fruit Skewers on the grill and cook for 12–15 minutes, turning every 3–5 minutes until the fruit develops light grill marks and begins to caramelize.
  • Make the Honey Lime Glaze
  • While the fruit grills, whisk together the honey and fresh lime juice in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Finish and Serve
  • During the final 5 minutes of grilling, brush the honey lime glaze over each skewer.
  • Remove from the grill and serve warm. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or extra lime zest if desired

Notes

  • Fresh fruit produces the best results.
  • Maple syrup can replace honey for a vegan option.
  • Sprinkle toasted coconut over the finished skewers for extra flavor.
  • Excellent served alongside grilled meats at summer cookouts.
  • Leftover grilled fruit makes a delicious topping for pancakes, waffles, or yogurt.
