Ingredients
  

For the Honey Garlic Chicken

  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into small cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

  • Brown rice
  • White rice
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped peanuts
  • Lime wedges

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the chicken lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the hot skillet in a single layer.
  • Cook for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned on one side.
  • While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  • Turn the chicken pieces over.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet.
  • Toss the chicken until evenly coated.
  • Continue cooking for 4–5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken over rice.
  • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Great for meal prep lunches.
  • Low-sodium soy sauce helps control overall saltiness.
