Homemade Strawberry Sauce

Homemade Strawberry Sauce is a simple topping made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb strawberries rinsed, hulled, and sliced
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
  • Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Allow the strawberries to release their natural juices without mashing.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20–23 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  • The Homemade Strawberry Sauce will continue to thicken as it cools and refrigerates.

  • Perfect for pancakes, waffles, cheesecake, and ice cream
  • Can be blended for a smooth syrup texture
  • Works well as a filling for cakes or pastries
