Homemade Strawberry Sauce
Homemade Strawberry Sauce is a simple topping made with fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

- 1 lb strawberries rinsed, hulled, and sliced
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
Place over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
Allow the strawberries to release their natural juices without mashing.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20–23 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
The Homemade Strawberry Sauce will continue to thicken as it cools and refrigerates.
