Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes with 1 crushed garlic clove, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, half of the chili flakes, ½ teaspoon salt, black pepper, and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss until evenly coated.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Flip halfway through cooking.
While the potatoes cook, add the chicken pieces to the same bowl. Mix with the remaining garlic, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, thyme, and olive oil until well coated.
After the potatoes have cooked for 10 minutes, carefully remove the basket. Push the potatoes to one side and add the seasoned chicken to the other side.
Continue cooking the Air Fryer Chicken and Potatoes for another 10 minutes, flipping both the chicken and potatoes halfway through.
Check the internal temperature of the chicken using a meat thermometer. It should reach 165°F (75°C).
Once fully cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
