Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them completely.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Butter the inside of each roll generously.
Place the rolls on the skillet and fill with shredded cheese.
Gently press the tops down.
Grill for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Flip carefully and cook until cheese is fully melted.
Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
