Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese

Hawaiian roll grilled cheese with buttery crispy edges.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes or turkey bacon

Instructions
 

  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them completely.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Butter the inside of each roll generously.
  • Place the rolls on the skillet and fill with shredded cheese.
  • Gently press the tops down.
  • Grill for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Flip carefully and cook until cheese is fully melted.
  • Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
  • This Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese should be crispy on the outside and perfectly gooey inside.

Notes

  • Swap Monterey Jack with cheddar or mozzarella
