Ingredients

Greek Chicken Meatballs

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup fresh dill chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh mint chopped
  • ¼ cup finely diced red onion
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking

For Serving

  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Cooked white rice
  • Tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, salt, pepper, cumin, oregano, red pepper flakes, dill, mint, red onion, garlic, and lemon zest.
  • Mix gently with clean hands until everything is evenly combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.
  • Scoop the mixture using a tablespoon or cookie scoop and roll into evenly sized meatballs.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the meatballs in the skillet without overcrowding the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Transfer the cooked meatballs to a serving platter.
  • Assemble bowls with chopped romaine, cooked rice, cucumber, tomatoes, feta cheese, and warm Greek Chicken Meatballs.
  • Drizzle generously with tzatziki sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve in pita bread for delicious Greek wraps.
  • Brown rice or quinoa can replace white rice.
  • Add olives, pickled onions, or roasted peppers for extra Mediterranean flavor.
  • Homemade tzatziki offers the freshest taste, but store-bought works well too
