Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak sirloin or ribeye
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan cheese shredded
  • Parsley chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes optional
  • Cracked black pepper optional

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3–5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and milk, stirring well. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Slice the steak and return it to the skillet along with the tortellini. Toss everything together for 2 minutes.
  • Serve your Garlic Steak Tortellini hot, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute steak with chicken for a lighter option.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
