Ingredients

  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Optional Seasonings

  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Finely grate the Parmesan cheese and let it sit at room temperature.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the chicken broth and optional seasonings.
  • Slowly pour in the milk while stirring, then bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  • Add the angel hair pasta. As the noodles soften, use tongs to gently twist them into the liquid.
  • Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally so the pasta doesn't stick together. This Garlic Parmesan Pasta cooks quickly, so avoid overcooking.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  • Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until smooth and creamy.
  • Let the pasta rest for 2–3 minutes so the sauce thickens naturally.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve with garlic bread, roasted vegetables, or a crisp green salad.
  • Sprinkle extra Parmesan and fresh parsley before serving.
  • Add red pepper flakes for gentle heat.
  • Substitute fettuccine or spaghetti if angel hair isn't available, adjusting the cooking time accordingly.
