Garlic Ginger Chicken Thighs

Garlic Ginger Chicken Thighs are marinated with fresh garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and seasonings before being baked until crispy and golden.

Ingredients
  

  • 2.2 pounds bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce or to taste
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds chopped parsley, or cilantro for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 365°F (180°C).
  • Place the chicken thighs in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, hot sauce, onion powder, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly until all chicken pieces are evenly coated.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
  • Marinate for at least 30 minutes. For maximum flavor, marinate for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side down on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the chicken thighs so the skin side faces up.
  • Continue baking for 20–25 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden.
  • Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from the oven and allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, or parsley.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Bone-in thighs provide the juiciest results.
  • Dark soy sauce adds deeper color and richer flavor.
  • Adjust the hot sauce according to your preferred spice level.
  • Leftovers are excellent in wraps, salads, and rice bowls
