Cut the steak into 1 1/2-inch bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
Season generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Add 1 tablespoon butter and allow it to melt and slightly brown.
Add steak bites in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.
Sear for 2–3 minutes without stirring to develop a crust.
Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until desired doneness.
Add remaining butter and garlic, stirring to coat the steak.
Cook for 1 minute until garlic is fragrant.
