Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread
  • Softened cream cheese diced strawberries, or chocolate spread
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  • Remove the crusts from each slice of bread and flatten them using a rolling pin.
  • Add 1–2 teaspoons of your chosen filling about 1 inch from one edge.
  • Roll the bread tightly into a log shape and repeat with remaining slices.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth.
  • In another bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter.
  • Dip each roll into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  • Place rolls seam-side down in the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2 minutes per side.
  • Immediately roll the cooked French Toast Roll-Ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Serve warm, optionally with syrup for dipping.

Notes

  • Swap white bread with whole wheat for a healthier option.
  • Serve with honey, maple syrup, or fresh fruit.
  • Add a pinch of vanilla extract to the egg mixture for extra flavor.
