Easy Portuguese BBQ Marinade Recipe

A flavorful Portuguese BBQ marinade made with olive oil, vinegar, garlic, and spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 600 g 1¼ lb lamb, chicken, or beef
  • 80 ml ⅓ cup red wine vinegar
  • 125 ml ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves freshly minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, garlic, brown sugar, oregano, and paprika.
  • Add your chosen protein and coat well with the marinade.
  • Cover and marinate for at least 20 minutes, preferably overnight for deeper flavor.
  • Preheat the barbecue to medium–high heat.
  • Grill for about 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through and basting with leftover marinade.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat and rest for 5–6 minutes before serving.
