Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
Juicy chicken thighs cooked in a sticky honey garlic sauce.

- 6 boneless chicken thighs
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
To Serve
- Steamed rice
- Chinese broccoli or greens
- Spring onion
- Chili oil optional
Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken thighs for 4–5 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients.
Reduce heat to medium and pour the sauce into the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Return the chicken to the pan and coat well in the sauce.
Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs over rice with greens and garnish with spring onions and chili oil.
- Chicken breast can be used, but thighs remain juicier.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
- Serve with noodles instead of rice for a twist.
