Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs cooked in a sticky honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 boneless chicken thighs
  • ½ tsp sea salt flakes
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

To Serve

  • Steamed rice
  • Chinese broccoli or greens
  • Spring onion
  • Chili oil optional

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook chicken thighs for 4–5 minutes on one side until golden, then flip and cook another 4–5 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients.
  • Reduce heat to medium and pour the sauce into the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  • Return the chicken to the pan and coat well in the sauce.
  • Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs over rice with greens and garnish with spring onions and chili oil.

Notes

  • Chicken breast can be used, but thighs remain juicier.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.
  • Serve with noodles instead of rice for a twist.
