Ingredients
  

For the Biscuits

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1.5 sticks salted butter very cold, divided
  • 1 cup buttermilk

For the Honey Butter

  • 1 stick salted butter room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons honey

For Each Sandwich

  • 1 honey butter biscuit
  • 1 tablespoon honey butter
  • 1 crispy chicken cutlet
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey sauce optional

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Cook crispy chicken cutlets or air fry frozen chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Make the Biscuits

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  • Add grated cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  • Slowly stir in buttermilk until dough forms.
  • Knead lightly and shape into an oval.
  • Add extra butter, fold dough, and roll out.
  • Cut into biscuits and place in a buttered skillet.
  • Top with butter and bake 15–20 minutes until golden.
  • Brush with honey butter while warm.

Make the Honey Butter

  • Mix softened butter and honey until smooth.

Assemble the Sandwich

  • Slice biscuits in half.
  • Spread honey butter on both sides.
  • Add crispy chicken and drizzle hot honey if desired.
  • Close sandwich and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken with grilled version for lighter option
