EASY Creamy Lemon Chicken

Creamy Lemon Chicken is a quick one-pan dinner made with tender chicken breasts and a rich lemon cream sauce.

Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dried thyme.
  • Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Season the sauce with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the sauce.
  • Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
  • This Creamy Lemon Chicken is delicious served over pasta, mashed potatoes, rice, or alongside roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed broccoli, asparagus, or green beans.
  • A side of fluffy rice helps soak up the creamy lemon sauce.
  • For a richer finish, stir in a tablespoon of butter before serving.
  • Fresh parsley adds color and freshness but can be substituted with fresh basil.
