Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken

Ingredients
  

Hot Honey

  • 1/3 cup 110g honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon chili flakes

Chicken

  • 2 chicken breasts about 250g / 9 oz each
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon each onion powder garlic powder, dried oregano, black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Breading & Cooking

  • 35 g 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 65 g 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying (6–8 tablespoons)
  • 200 g 7 oz feta cheese, crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Combine honey, hot sauce, and chili flakes in a bowl. Warm briefly in the microwave (about 20 seconds), stir, and set aside to cool.
  • Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create four even pieces.
  • Mix paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne, and black pepper.
  • Set up three shallow bowls: flour mixed with half the seasoning, beaten eggs, and panko mixed with remaining seasoning.
  • Coat each chicken piece in flour, egg, then panko, pressing firmly.
  • Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Transfer chicken to a rack. Top generously with crumbled feta and grill (broil) until feta is soft and lightly golden.
  • Drizzle with hot honey and serve immediately.

  • Serve with roasted potatoes, salad, or rice
