Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add broth and stir, allowing it to simmer briefly.
Pour in heavy cream and add Italian seasoning and cheese. Stir until smooth.
Reduce heat and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
