Crab Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Crab Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits are buttery biscuits filled with creamy crab mixture.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ cup Ritz crackers finely crushed
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Cheddar Bay biscuit mix according to the package instructions. Stir in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  • In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, paprika, Dijon mustard, onion powder, Parmesan cheese, crushed crackers, salt, and pepper.
  • Place a small amount of biscuit dough into each muffin cup and press it into the bottom and sides to form a bowl shape.
  • Spoon a portion of the crab mixture into each biscuit cup.
  • Cover the filling with a small amount of the remaining biscuit dough.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  • While the biscuits bake, mix the melted butter and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  • Once the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them immediately with the lemon butter mixture.
  • Serve the Crab Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits warm.

Notes

These biscuits are best served fresh and warm. If you want a stronger cheddar flavor, you can mix shredded cheddar cheese into the biscuit dough.
