Cinnamon French Toast Bites

Cinnamon French Toast Bites are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 thick slices slightly stale white bread 1 inch thick
  • 2 large eggs or 3 small eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter divided
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions
 

  • Cut crusts off the bread slices. Cut each slice into 9 equal cubes.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and salt.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  • Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Do not let it brown.
  • Quickly toss half the bread cubes in the egg mixture. Shake off excess.
  • Place cubes in the skillet and sauté, turning frequently, until browned on all sides (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Transfer immediately into the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  • Repeat with remaining butter and bread cubes.
  • Serve Cinnamon French Toast Bites immediately with maple syrup for dipping.

Notes

• Serve with fresh berries for balance.
