Add the diced apple, raw sugar, raisins, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a small saucepan.
Cover and cook over low heat for 16–18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and fragrant.
Remove from heat and allow the apple mixture to cool slightly.
Divide the yogurt evenly between two serving bowls.
Spoon the cinnamon apple mixture over the yogurt.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts or pecans.
