Cinnamon Apple Cake

Cinnamon Apple Cake is a soft, moist dessert made with fresh apples and warm cinnamon.

Ingredients
  

Apple Cake

  • 210 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 cup chopped red apple
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 120 ml Greek yogurt

Cinnamon Topping

  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Sugar Glaze

  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 1 –2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Stir in chopped apples.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, vanilla, oil, and yogurt until combined.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Mix sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for topping. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Mix powdered sugar with milk to form glaze and drizzle over cake.
  • Slice and enjoy your Cinnamon Apple Cake.

Notes

  • Substitute yogurt with sour cream if needed
