Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

Chocolate peanut butter banana bites are a healthy frozen snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • Peel bananas and slice into 1/4-inch rounds.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread about 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter onto a banana slice.
  • Top with another slice to form a sandwich.
  • Repeat until all banana slices are used.
  • Place bites on the tray and freeze for 1 hour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove frozen bites and dip each one halfway into melted chocolate.
  • Place back on the tray and freeze for another 15 minutes until set.
  • These chocolate peanut butter banana bites are best enjoyed slightly softened for the perfect texture.

Notes

You can use almond butter instead of peanut butter. These chocolate peanut butter banana bites also work well with milk chocolate or white chocolate variations.
