chocolate chip mug cake

A chocolate chip mug cake is a quick single-serve dessert made in the microwave in just 1 minute.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  • Add melted butter and milk, then whisk until smooth.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Grease a microwave-safe mug or ramekin and pour in the batter.
  • Microwave for 1 minute until the chocolate chip mug cake rises and sets.

Oven Method:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Grease a 6-inch ramekin.
  • Prepare batter as above.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

You can top your chocolate chip mug cake with whipped cream, ice cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. For a richer taste, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
