Ingredients

  • - 20 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • - 8 ounces mini mozzarella balls pearls
  • - 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
  • - Balsamic glaze as needed
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil or more to taste
  • - Sea salt to taste
  • - Freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes and fresh basil thoroughly, then dry them very well.
  • Check the size of the tomatoes. If they are large, slice them in half so all the ingredients are comfortably bite-sized.
  • Thread a cherry tomato, fresh basil leaf, and mozzarella ball onto each skewer. Continue alternating the ingredients as desired.
  • Leave enough empty space at the bottom of each skewer to create an easy-to-hold handle.
  • Arrange the finished skewers on a serving platter.
  • Just before serving your Caprese Skewers Recipe, drizzle the skewers lightly with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
  • Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  • Serve fresh and enjoy.

Notes

The exact number of caprese skewers will depend on the size of your skewers and how many tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and basil leaves you add to each one.
For smaller party bites, use cocktail picks instead of full-length skewers. They make convenient individual portions for appetizer platters.
Serve alongside fresh fruit, salads, grilled vegetables, halal-friendly grilled chicken, or other Mediterranean-inspired appetizers.
