Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrot shredded
  • 1/2 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Slice the chicken breasts into long, thin strips so they cook quickly and evenly.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
  • Add the chicken strips to the buffalo mixture and toss until evenly coated. Marinate for at least 10 minutes. For deeper flavor, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken strips and cook for about 4–5 minutes, or until the chicken is completely cooked through. The thickest pieces should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • Place the flour tortillas on a clean work surface. Spread each tortilla with a thin layer of ranch or blue cheese dressing.
  • Layer the chopped romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, avocado slices, cheddar cheese, and cooked buffalo chicken over the tortillas.
  • Fold the sides of each tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to form the Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
  • Slice each wrap in half and serve while the chicken is warm.

Notes

For an easy chicken wrap with ranch, use ranch dressing instead of blue cheese dressing and drizzle a little extra over the chicken before rolling.
You can swap romaine for another crisp lettuce or add sliced cucumber, tomato, red onion, or extra shredded carrots.
For meal prep, store the cooked buffalo chicken separately from the vegetables, dressing, and tortillas. Assemble shortly before eating to keep everything fresh.
