Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 12 large eggs
  • ¼ cup whole milk or 2% milk
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 dinner rolls or slider buns split
  • 2½ cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 12 strips cooked bacon crumbled
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flaky salt for sprinkling
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Baking Dish
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and brush the bottom and sides of a 9×13-inch baking dish with half of the melted butter. Reserve the remaining butter for later.
  • Step 2: Make the Scrambled Eggs
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until the yolks and whites are fully combined and slightly frothy.
  • Whisk in the milk and kosher salt.
  • Heat the remaining tablespoon of butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Pour in the egg mixture and cook slowly, gently stirring with a rubber spatula until the eggs are softly scrambled and just set. Remove from the heat before they become dry.
  • Step 3: Assemble the Sliders
  • Arrange the bottom halves of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the buns.
  • Spread the scrambled eggs over the cheese in an even layer.
  • Top with the crumbled bacon.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the bacon.
  • Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with the reserved melted butter.
  • Sprinkle with garlic powder and flaky salt.
  • Step 4: Bake
  • Bake the Breakfast Sliders for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tops of the buns are lightly golden.
  • Allow the sliders to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a halal-friendly version, substitute the pork bacon with turkey bacon or beef bacon, or use cooked beef breakfast sausage.
  • Pepper Jack, Monterey Jack, Swiss, or Colby cheese can be substituted for cheddar.
  • These sliders are perfect for brunch buffets and holiday breakfasts.
  • Serve with fresh fruit, hash browns, roasted potatoes, or yogurt.
  • Prepare the sliders the night before and bake fresh in the morning
