Best Classic Tuna Salad Recipe

A creamy and flavorful tuna salad made with canned tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, and Dijon mustard.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 5-ounce cans tuna, drained
  • cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon relish
  • 1 stalk celery diced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1 –2 tablespoons chopped parsley chives, or dill (optional)
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

For Serving:

  • Lettuce cups
  • Croissants
  • Sliced bread
  • Crackers

Instructions
 

  • Drain the tuna thoroughly and place it in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, relish, celery, red onion, and optional herbs.
  • Stir everything together until well combined.
  • If the mixture seems dry, add an extra tablespoon of mayonnaise.
  • Season with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
