Best Air Fryer Honey Garlic Wings

Crispy air fryer chicken wings tossed in honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken wings separated into wingettes and drumettes
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Optional Garnishes

  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  • Add the slurry, honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly for 3–4 minutes until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, toss chicken wings with flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until lightly coated. Shake off excess.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 4–5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange wings in a single layer.
  • Cook at 380°F for 20 minutes, turning wings halfway through, until browned and crispy.
  • Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and toss with the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
