Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour and baking powder.
Add softened butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Shape into 6 large or 12 small cookie balls and place on the tray.
Press each ball gently to form a cookie shape.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges turn lightly golden.
Let the almond flour cookies cool completely before serving.
