Ingredients
  

  • 500 g 1 lb chicken breasts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the honey garlic sauce:

  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  • Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Season both the flour and breadcrumbs with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Coat each chicken piece in flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with oil.
  • Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add garlic, then stir in honey, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, and water mixed with cornstarch.
  • Simmer until slightly thickened. Season with salt and lemon juice.
  • Toss the cooked Air Fryer Honey Garlic Chicken Bites in the sauce until fully coated.
  • Serve immediately with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, noodles, or a fresh salad.
  • You can make the sauce ahead and store it in the fridge.
  • Add chili flakes for extra heat.
