Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers

Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 640 g 1.4 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Garlic Parmesan Butter

  • 75 g 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 20 g ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves finely grated or minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely diced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the chicken in a large bowl and add olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Toss well until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Thread the chicken onto four skewers, packing the pieces closely together while leaving space at both ends.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  • Arrange the skewers in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 10 minutes.
  • While the chicken cooks, prepare the garlic parmesan butter by mixing softened butter, parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Microwave briefly in 5-second intervals if needed until spreadable but not fully melted.
  • After 10 minutes, flip the Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers and brush with one-third of the garlic butter mixture.
  • Air fry for 2½ minutes.
  • Flip again and brush with another third of the butter.
  • Cook for an additional 2½ minutes until lightly charred and the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
  • Remove from the air fryer and immediately brush with the remaining garlic parmesan butter.
  • Garnish with extra parmesan and parsley if desired.
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Substitute chicken breast if preferred.
  • Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
  • Great as an appetizer for parties and gatherings.
  • Leftovers work wonderfully in wraps and sandwiches.
