Ingredients

  • 2 firm bananas slightly underripe
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Peel the bananas and slice them into ⅛-inch thick rounds for even crisping.
  • In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  • Place the banana slices in a bowl and gently toss them with the melted coconut oil or butter so each slice is lightly coated.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the banana slices and toss gently to distribute evenly.
  • Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  • Cook the Air Fryer Banana Chips for 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.
  • Monitor closely near the end of cooking to prevent burning.
  • Once golden brown and crisp, transfer the banana chips to a wire rack and allow them to cool completely. They will continue to crisp as they cool.

Notes

Coconut oil adds a subtle tropical flavor, while butter gives a richer taste.
